What the Online Coaching Partner Licence is
The CIY.Club Online Coaching Partner Licence is a business-to-business licensing arrangement. It gives one partner the right to deliver the CIY.Club coding, robotics and AI curriculum virtually, under the CIY.Club brand, in their licensed territory.
The licence is an agreement between the partner and CIY.Club — not an employment contract and not a consumer service. As a partner, you operate your own business using the CIY.Club system, platform and curriculum. Revenue comes from the students you enrol, billed as recurring monthly subscriptions.
Who this track is designed for
The Online Coaching Partner Licence suits:
- Individual educators and tutors who already work with children and want to add a structured coding curriculum
- Career changers who are drawn to education but do not yet have a physical location or large upfront capital
- Entrepreneurs who want a digital-first business that can be operated from home or a shared workspace
- Home educators and community coaches who have an existing relationship with families and want to formalise it through a structured programme
The online track does not require a physical premises, a dedicated venue or large upfront equipment investment, which makes it the lowest-barrier entry point in the CIY.Club licensing structure.
What is included in the licence
The Online Coaching Partner Licence includes:
- Curriculum from ScopeIT Education, Australia — accredited by STEM.org (USA), covering coding, robotics and AI for age-appropriate levels
- CIY.Club LMS — the learning management system used to deliver and manage classes online
- Structured coach training framework — step-by-step training so you can deliver the curriculum without prior programming expertise
- Competition pathway — access to the national and international competitions organised by CIY.Club
- Territory rights — defined in the licence agreement for your market
The exact scope of each element is set out in the licence agreement, which you should request and review — ideally with independent legal advice — before signing.
Starting investment level
| Licence Track | Who It Suits | Starting Investment Level | Physical Premises |
|---|---|---|---|
| Online Coaching Partner Licence | Individual educators and entrepreneurs starting a virtual academy | from US$9,500 | No — fully online |
| Physical CIY.Club Learning Centre | Establishing a dedicated local technology education presence | varies by territory | Yes |
| Premium Centre / Regional Business Opportunity | Experienced operators scaling across multiple locations or a region | varies by region | Yes |
| Country / Master Licensing Opportunity | Investors seeking national rights and a sub-licence network | varies by country | Varies |
The Online Coaching Partner Licence starts from from US$9,500. This is the confirmed starting investment level for this track. The final figure depends on territory and is confirmed by CIY.Club during the qualification discussion.
This figure covers the licence itself. It does not cover your local business registration, any marketing spend, or personal equipment such as a computer and webcam. These are typical business start-up costs that sit outside the licence fee.
How online delivery works
Classes are delivered using the CIY.Club LMS — a purpose-built platform that manages student enrolment, lesson delivery, progress tracking and the competition pathway. Coaches (that is, you and any coaches you bring on) use the platform to run live or recorded sessions.
Coach training is structured and delivered through the same platform. The framework is designed so that you can begin delivering the curriculum upon completing training, even if you have no prior coding background.
The competition programme gives students visible goals — national and international coding and robotics competitions — which supports student retention and gives your programme a credible external benchmark.
How this compares with a physical centre
| Factor | Online Coaching Licence | Physical Centre Licence |
|---|---|---|
| Physical premises | Not required | Required |
| Starting investment | from US$9,500 | Varies by territory |
| Geographic reach | Can serve students in multiple locations | Primarily local catchment |
| Equipment | Standard computer + internet | May include robotics kits and classroom hardware |
| Scalability path | Add coaches; upgrade to physical later | Expand to multiple sites or regional rights |

How to apply
Complete the qualification form at the CIY.Club business site. The form covers your background, your intended territory and your goals. It is not a commitment — it is the start of a conversation with the CIY.Club team about whether the online licence is the right fit for you.
Following the form, CIY.Club will discuss territory availability, investment level for your market and the licence terms. Request the full agreement and seek independent advice before committing.
